Individualized Learning Program (ILP) The Individualized Learning Program (or PLP) is developed by SouthLane University students - in collaboration with professors, counselors, and parents—as a way to help them achieve short- and long-term learning goals, particularly in their academic goals. The Individualized Learning Program are generally based on the belief that students will be more motivated to learn, will achieve more in school, and will feel a stronger sense of ownership over their education if they decide what they want to learn, how they are going to learn it, and why they need learn it to achieve their personal goals. The goal of an Individualized Learning Program is to bring greater coherence, focus, and purpose to the decisions students make about their education especially on their future after they graduate from the university.

To help students develop personalized learning plans, SouthLane Univeristy Deans together with CHED and DepEd created a template form and process, such as a series of questions and a multi-year course-planning chart that allows students to map out the specific classes they want to take before graduating. The Individualized Learning Program may help engage parents in the planning process and in substantive discussions with their children about their life goals and educational interests, while also helping professors learn more about their students and their particular interests and learning needs. The Individualized Learning Programs are commonly revisited and modified annually to reflect changes in student learning needs, interests, and aspirations. This is the curriculum and program SouthLane created and utilize to produce top-notch students who are competent, confident and ready to start the new chapter of their lives once they graduate.

The Individualized Learning Program offers:

• Real-life projects to help the students’ transition from academe to industry.

• Project-Based Learning which can help students learn more on how things are done in the industry

• Classes and activities tailored to suit the student body’s taste and choice.

• Teamwork and comradeship by working on large group projects

• Field trips to educational sites and seminars that will help them on their chosen course

• Freedom of speech and opinion for the students so they can say what they feel and want

• A online evaluation test and Couse Survey per term to gather data for the school to accommodate the likes and choices of the students.
