History
The first Nursing Educational Program in the country was offered by the SouthLane University as Escuela de Practicantes, from 1879 to 1904, aSchool of Home Nursingthen opened in 1939,but was closed at the outbreak of the 2nd World War in 1941.
The present course offering is thePhilippines’ first Basic Collegiate Baccalaureate Programme for Nursing founded in February 1946.
At present, the SouthLane University College of Nursing is a Commission on Higher Education (CHED)Center of Excellence in Nursing Education with a PACUCOA Level III accredited BSN Program
